Kate Garraway Road to Recovery
GMTV presenter Kate Garraway has confirmed that she is feeling better following her surgery for appendicitis. Last month she was rushed to hospital for emergency treatment after suffering from agonising pains.
The 43-year-old told reporters that she was feeling "a lot better" as she left her home in North London.
Garraway admitted that she was on the way to hospital to have her stitches taken out, according to the Daily Mail.
Meanwhile, a spokesman for the TV presenter told the Daily Mirror that Kate has been "very ill and hasn't been out a lot".
He added: "The doctors said it would take at least two weeks to recover, so she is very tired at the moment."
Kate hopes to return to work on the GMTV set later this month.
However, she is one of several presenters on the show who are awaiting the results of a review of the show, details of which will be announced shortly.
GMTV presenters Ben Shephard and Penny Smith have already left the show as part of the cost-cutting revamp.
